Carrie Hartzell

Bio

Carrie Hartzell is a Speech-Language Pathologist with 17 years of experience and a specialty that runs deep in pediatric care. A graduate of Augustana University and the University of South Dakota, where she earned her Master of Arts, Carrie brings extensive clinical training to her work at Move U, including specialized certifications in Talk Tools, the SOS Approach to Feeding, the SOFFI Method, and DIR Floortime. Her background spans 13 years of pediatric inpatient and outpatient care across feeding support clinics, the NICU, and various pediatric multidisciplinary clinic settings.

Carrie’s clinical focus is infants and young children, with a particular specialty in oral motor feeding and bottling challenges and early speech and language development. She meets every child at their own level, follows their lead, and uses a mix of traditional and non-traditional therapy strategies to make sessions feel engaging and fun. Her goal is simple: make Move U a place where kids feel like they belong.

Originally from Sibley, IA, Carrie’s career brought her to Sioux Falls and she’s made it home. Outside the clinic she’s working out, attending sporting events, walking her dogs, and cheering on her kids at their games. She also spends time in Okoboji whenever she can, and her one true food loyalty is unwavering: tacos, always.
