Bio

Tyler Anderson is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Board Certified Sports Specialist, and Dry Needling Level 2 Certified clinician with 13 years of experience helping active people stay active. A graduate of Southwest Baptist University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology before going on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Tyler co-owns and leads Empower U with a clear point of view: stop chasing symptoms and start solving problems.

Tyler’s clinical sweet spot is the person who has already tried everything else. Active adults and athletes who want to stay in the gym or on the field, persistent and recurring cases that haven’t responded to traditional care, and busy professionals and parents who need a clear plan and real results — these are his people. His approach is rooted in sports and orthopedic rehab with a strong emphasis on return to lifting and performance, and he has zero interest in quick fixes. He’ll dig into what’s actually driving the issue, build a plan around it, and see it through.

A Missouri native born in Oklahoma, Tyler made the bold move to Sioux Falls in 2020 — at the height of the pandemic — to partner in a business that had been open for two months. The decision was driven by family, and he’ll tell you it’s one of the best he’s ever made. Outside the clinic he’s coaching youth sports, lifting, running, and watching football and basketball with his wife and three kids, Ella, Gabe, and Jace. He’s also a dedicated sports card collector, which his kids may or may not appreciate yet.
